Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain customer loyalty by providing exceptional customer service, responding to customer’s questions, and resolving their problems and needs in a friendly, accurate and timely manner.
- Confirm federal, state and company regulations and standards for product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met.
- Verify that food items are stored in a safe and hazard free environment.
- Ensure that all food items are prepared and served according to Company Store recipes
- Accurately complete weekly foodservice inventory
- Properly place product orders for foodservice department
- Train, motivate and develop skills of foodservice employees
- Maintain all foodservice equipment including cleaning refrigerators, ovens, kitchen equipment, cutting boards, and various other tools
- Enter, transcribe, record, store or maintain information in either written or electronic form
- Responsible for proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- Supervise others by assigning/directing work, conducting employee evaluations, staff training/development, and taking appropriate disciplinary/corrective actions
- Develop and/or implement new and current policies/procedures/standards and/or rules/regulations
- Perform other functions that may be assigned by Store Manager or Owners
Requirements
The Company Store Deli/Foodservice Manager oversees the entire foodservice operations for The Company Store according to company policies, procedures, and federal/state requirements. This position provides leadership, support, and guidance to ensure that food quality standards, inventory levels, food safety guidelines and customer service expectations are met. Ensures that the food offered to customers at all locations is of superior quality. This employee will maintains excellent relationships with all employees while promoting professional growth and development of the entire team. In addition, the foodservice manager will foster strong inter-departmental relations and integrate the foodservice department with the main store and various satellite locations or wholesale accounts. Job Requirements:
The Company Store Deli/Food Service Manager must be a motivated and positive individual who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and doing whatever it takes to get the job done. The ideal candidate should also be organized, detail-oriented and have strong analytic and prioritization skills. Strong verbal and written communication, as well as interpersonal and customer-service skills are essential.
Deli/Food Service Managers work up to 45 hours a week including some nights and weekends.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma- Associates Degree Preferred
Minimum 1 year food service supervisory experience
Minimum 3 years food service industry experience
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly required to stand and walk for 8-10 hours a day. The employee may be occasionally required to climb or balance on a ladder and stoop, kneel, or crouch when stocking and cleaning shelves.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
The employee must be able to work in varying temperatures on the retail floor, in the kitchen and in coolers and freezers.
