About the Role
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure customer loyalty by providing exceptional customer service, responding to customer’s questions and resolving their problems and needs in a friendly, accurate and timely manner
- Use suggestive selling techniques
- Follow company policy and procedure and all laws governing food preparation and sales
- Adhere to all company safety and security policies, looking for and eliminating safety hazards
- Operate cash register and point-of-sale equipment efficiently
- Handle cash, provide correct change, and complete safe drops per company policy
- Clean grocery shelves, counters, doors, and ensure overall cleanliness of the store
- Stock delivered products on shelves, in coolers and freezers
- Maintain inventory of retail products, tobacco products, grocery items and baked goods
- Report to work on time; adjust to changes in work schedule as needed
Requirements
Cashier provide excellent customer service, follow company policies and procedures and sells products to customers of The Company Store.
Job Requirements:
Cashiers must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to stand for 8-10 hours a day
Strong communication, listening and writing skills
Retail or POS experience preferred but not required
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly required to stand and walk for 8-10 hours a day. The employee may be occasionally required to climb or balance on a ladder and stoop, kneel, or crouch when stocking and cleaning shelves.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and must be able to work in varying temperatures on the retail floor, in the kitchen and in coolers and freezers.
